Day 1

Welcome to Thimphu - Local Sightseeing

On arrival in Bhutan, take transfer to the hotel and check in. Spend some time relaxing at the hotel and then proceed for local sightseeing. You will visit Memorial Chorten and the National Library. Memorial Chorten is a dzong which is built in the Tibetian style of architecture and stands majestic, with intricate statues, mandalas and a shrine. The National Library will give you an admirable insight into the rich culture and history of Bhutan. Return to the hotel after an exciting day and spend a peaceful night back at the hotel. Paro Airport to Thimphu: 48 km, approx. 1 hour.

Day 2

More of Thimphu

Savour a scrumptious breakfast on this day and proceed for an exciting day touring around Thimphu. Pay a visit to the Tashichho Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and a majestic fortress, which is also the seat of the government. Your second stop is the Buddha Point. Located atop a hill, this place has one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Spend some peaceful time here before you proceed to the Bhutan Textile Museum. It is also called the National Textile Museum and was established in 2001. After a great day of sightseeing, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. Optional: shopping (charges extra).

Day 3

Thimphu - Paro via Punakha

Have breakfast and proceed to Punakha/ Wangdue Phodrang via Dochula Pass on this day. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, which was built on a hill in the 15th century. It houses a divine meditation hall where you can pray and immerse yourself in the calm atmosphere. Also visit Punakha Dzong, which is the country's most beautiful and important Dzong. On arrival in Paro, check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You may relax in your rooms or visit places of interest such as the Taktsang Palphug Monastery, Chele La Pass, Haa Valley and Paro River (leisure activities are not included in the package). Stay overnight at Paro.

Day 4

The Best of Paro

Go on to explore Paro on this day. Visit Ta Dzong, a cultural museum that serves as the National Museum of Bhutan. It used to be a watchtower in the past and also as a fortress that protected the Paro Rinpung Dzong. Then, walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which is a fortress and a Buddhist monastery that houses district government offices as well as the monastery. Furthermore, visit Kyichu Lhakhang (a prominent Himalayan Buddhist temple) and Drukgyal Dzong (ruins of a Buddhist monastery and fortress). On a clear day, you can behold the breathtaking Mount Jomolhari, which is Bhutan's second-highest mountain standing at 24,035 feet. Spend the evening at leisure, simply relaxing in your rooms or exploring Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge, Dzongdrakha Temple or Ugyen Pema Woedling Zangthopelri (leisure activities are not included in the package). Then enjoy your overnight stay in Paro. Optional: You can take an exciting trek to the Tiger's Nest Monastery, which is also known as Paro Taktsang. It is quite easy and can be completed in 2 to 3 hours.

Day 5

End of Tour

Your trip to Bhutan ends today. Relish a scrumptious breakfast and check out from the hotel. Then take transfer to Paro Airport and board your return flight, with wonderful memories of the tour.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund. Refund

In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.
